Zarina CRM Construction · MEP profile

Software for MEP contractors, from design and approvals to service

In MEP work, the job does not end at installation. There is still testing, the handover file and then the warranty period, when the client calls and someone needs to know what equipment was installed and when. Zarina CRM holds the job from the site survey to service, with procured equipment, testing and documentation on the same job. It is installed on your company’s server, with a lifetime licence.

The course of a job

Seven stages, including the one after handover

The MEP profile has a stage the other profiles do not: service and warranty. That is where you win the client a second time.

1

Site survey and measurements

What exists on site and what can be installed is established before any price.

2

Design and approvals

Design, authority approvals and NOCs sit as the job’s first section.

3

Procurement

Materials and equipment ordered, with their suppliers and lead times.

4

Installation

Routes, equipment, panels, with what was actually used on the job.

5

Testing and commissioning

A separate stage, because an installed system is not a working system.

6

Handover, then service

The handover file, the handover itself, and then the warranty and call-outs.

The job’s sections

Eleven sections, prepared from the start

In MEP, cost sits in equipment and routes. That is why sections are separate: so you can see where the money went.

Preparation

  • Design, approvals and permits
  • Equipment
  • Materials and consumables

Execution

  • Routes: ducting, cables, pipes
  • Equipment installation
  • Electrical installations and panels
  • Heating, air conditioning and ventilation

Specialist and finishing

  • Solar PV systems
  • Roofing and waterproofing
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Technical documentation and handover file
Solar PV

Solar installers have their own section

In solar PV, the job goes through approvals, expensive equipment with long lead times and commissioning. All three are distinct stages in the application.

  • A separate section for solar PV systems. Not buried under “electrical installations”, so you see the real margin on this type of job.
  • Long-lead equipment is tracked. Inverters and panels ordered, with supplier and lead time, in the procurement module.
  • Approvals sit at the first stage. Design and permits — for example utility approval for grid connection — are a job section, not a paper forgotten in an email.
  • Commissioning is its own stage. The job does not close at installation, but after testing.
After handover

The part construction software misses

An MEP company also lives from what comes after the warranty. But only if it still knows what it installed and for whom.

History stays on the client

Which equipment was installed, when and by whom stays linked to the job and the client.

The handover file

Technical documentation and handover come out of the application, with PDF generation, not from folders on a desktop.

Call-outs are visible

The service stage is part of the job’s course, so call-outs do not start from scratch.

Money control

Equipment, materials and real cost

Quotation

The estimate is built by section and goes to the client as a quotation, with a PDF.

  • Estimate by section
  • Quotation generated from the estimate
  • Approvals before sending

Procurement

The most expensive part of an MEP job has its own module.

  • Procurement and suppliers
  • Stock per work point
  • Equipment
  • Subcontractors

Valuations

Progress valuations and handovers come out of the application, with a PDF.

  • Progress valuations
  • Handovers
  • Budget, expenses and cash
  • Real cost against the estimate
The teams

Every job has an owner and a team

  • The terminology is yours. On the MEP profile, the application talks about “jobs”, not sites, because that is what you call them.
  • There is a field screen. Installers report from the job, with no call to the office.
  • An owner and a team on every job. You see who is responsible for what, even with ten jobs running in parallel.
  • Indicators add up on their own. The indicators module shows how jobs are doing, with no manual report.
Transparency

What to know beforehand

We prefer to be precise from the start, including about the things the application does not do.

  • It is not design or sizing software. It does not calculate heat loads, does not size pipes and does not replace design programs.
  • It does not connect to inverters or equipment. It does not read data from installed systems and does not do real-time monitoring.
  • Distributor prices do not come in automatically. There is no updated price database; prices and discounts are your company’s own.
  • It does not submit files on your behalf. It holds the documentation and exports it as PDF, but dealing with the utility or the authorities remains the company’s job.
  • Installation requires a server. The application runs on your side. If you have no hosting, we set it up together, but it remains the company’s.
Where you are today

If jobs live in Excel and on WhatsApp

The problems below are not hypothetical. They are the reasons MEP companies look for software.

Equipment ordered late

Installation was scheduled, the inverter had a three-week lead time and nobody checked in time.

Procurement is linked to the job stage.

The client who calls under warranty

They call after two years and nobody remembers which model was installed or by whom.

History and documentation stay on the job.

The job closed without testing

It was installed and invoiced, but commissioning was left hanging and the client complains.

Testing is a separate stage, not a note on paper.

Same licence

MEP, fit-out or general construction

The Construction edition has three profiles. They are not different products and are not bought separately: you choose the profile at installation and change it if your activity changes.

MEP

Design and approvals, equipment procurement, testing, handover file and a service stage.

Fit-out and renovation

Estimates by finishing section, stages from strip-out to handover, changes requested along the way.

General construction

From earthworks and foundations to structure, envelope and warranty, for building from scratch.

Licensing model

Lifetime licence, no per-user subscription

An MEP company has installers who come and go. The licence should not penalise you for every new person.

  • Unlimited users. You can give access to every team without the cost going up.
  • Paid once. There is no monthly subscription and no commission on the value of jobs.
  • Prices are published. You will find them on the pricing page, with what each package includes.
  • The data belongs to the company. The database sits on your server, with export, and no conditions on exit.
Implementation

What you get when you sign the contract

Installation on your company’s server

We put the application on your hosting and configure it for the MEP profile.

Sections and equipment

We enter the estimate sections and the equipment you work with, at your prices.

Users and roles

We configure access: office, job owners, installers, accounting.

Security

Where the data lives and who sees it

  • Installation is on your side. Client data and prices do not pass through our infrastructure.
  • Access is by role. An installer sees their own job, not the company’s margin.
  • Distributor discounts stay internal. Separate from what the client sees in the quotation.
  • No vendor lock-in. The database belongs to the company, exportable at any time.
Frequently asked questions

Answers about the MEP profile

Are MEP and fit-out two different programs?

No. They are two profiles of the same Construction edition, with different sections and stages. You buy one licence, and the profile is chosen at installation and can be changed.

Is it good for solar PV companies?

Yes. The profile has a separate section for solar PV systems, and the stages cover design and approvals, equipment procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.

Does it cover heating, ventilation and air conditioning?

Yes, there is a section for HVAC installations, separate from the one for electrical installations and panels.

What happens after the job is handed over?

The MEP profile has a service and warranty stage. The history of installed equipment and the documentation stay on the job, so a call-out does not start from scratch.

Does it produce the handover file?

Yes. There is a section for technical documentation and the handover file, plus modules for handovers and progress valuations, both with PDF generation.

Does it size the installation or calculate requirements?

No. It does not calculate heat loads and does not size pipes or cables. It works with estimates, stages, costs and documents, not with technical design.

Does it connect to inverters or installed equipment?

No. It does not read data from installed systems and does not do real-time monitoring.

Can I track long-lead equipment orders?

Yes, through the procurement module, with supplier and lead time, linked to the job stage.

Does it cost more if I have more installers?

No. The licence is lifetime, with unlimited users, so the number of people does not change the price.

How do I see the application before ordering?

Ask for demo access. You receive a personal link to the Construction edition test installation, where you can switch to the MEP profile.

No monthly subscription
